There is sometimes a rather dramatic leveling out on the percentile chart. This is quite alright as long as your baby is bright-eyed and bushy tailed and full of energy. Length A nine month old baby boy measures anywhere between 68cm and 77cm A nine month old baby girl measures anywhere between 66cm and 75cm Development(general info re development)Large Body Movements * Sits alone for 10-15 minutes * Leans forward to pick up toys * Attempts to crawl or does crawl or pulls to stand * May be cruising, even walking (doesn't make him smarter and stronger than the others) Small Body Movements * Reaches out to grab things * Pokes with finger * Picks up things with finger and thumb but not yet fully refined - also uses palm * Can let go of object by dropping or pressing on to surface but can't yet voluntarily put it down Vision * Visually very attentive * Looks in correct spot for fallen object Hearing and Speech * Turns to tiny sound * Shouts repeatedly to attract attention * Babble starting to become the preferred way of communicating but whingeing and crying still around.
