An eleven month baby boy weighs anywhere between 8.4k and 12k

A reminder: weight gains are likely to be slow and irregular as the toddler years approach. There may be some leveling on the percentile chart.

An eleven month baby girl measures anywhere between 68cm and 78cm
An eleven month baby boy measures anywhere between 70cm and 80cm

Development

Large Body Movements
* Sits well indefinitely
* Crawling, pulling up, letting self down again, cruising around furniture
* Walking alone
* Starting to climb
* Some babies bottom shuffle - a normal variation

Small Body Movements
* Can hold several objects and manipulate them
* Can now release toy and will give it willingly
* Loves putting a collection of things in and out of containers, examining each object as she does so
* May be starting to point for things she wants or at things she wants to share with you

Vision
* Recognises people she knows from across the room or the yard

Hearing and Speech
* Immediate response to voices and noises
* Imitates noises, adult vocalisations and sounds. The odd word may pop up

Social and Understanding
* Still mouths objects
* Quickly finds hidden toys (when given a clue as to where they are)
* May throw a kiss, wave bye-bye or follow other instructions.
